Do any of you use a smartphone app (or dedicated GPS unit) to track your rides? What's your first choice? I use Endomondo and it's pretty sweet, giving ride info such as: Start Time Sep 24, 2011 3:51 PM Distance 26.12 km Duration 2h:16m:51s Avg Speed 11.5 km/h Max Speed 55.5 km/h Calories 1223 kcal Altitude 1130 m / 1346 m Elevation 504 m ↑ / 563 m ↓ It uploads each ride to www.endomondo.com (and Facebook if you want) once you've completed it, and you can share the link with anyone. Great for future reference and being able to see on a map exactly where you went! For example I went riding in Hogsback this past weekend - here's the link: www.endomondo.com/workouts/23675321

Also use it - it's great, but elevation is an approximate... my house either gains or loses a good few netted above sea level each time I ride! Also, I've noticed a big difference btwn HRM calculations of energy used and endomondos. Does this mean I'm fitter then endomondo thinks?? It's a really fun way to track your rides though. There's also an option to link with a Bluetooth HR transmitter belt. Anyone used this?
