From John:
Hi All,
So you know exactly how to ride Thomas River? Well think again! I’ve taken the same mountain and the same rivers and come up with a whole new course for the 5th of November! And if the roads department continue at their present blinding speed we’ll also have a “tote-a-bike” river crossing!
If the mist scared the wits out of you last year relax, the mountain god said “NO! only with my permission!” So we are keeping below the mist line till we get permission.
Both the marathons are longer so get training now but bowing to CSA pressure the popular long funride is now shorter but I’ve included some super single track.
But something that will never change is that Thomas River hospitality! So come and enjoy some 20 odd prime lambs donated by the Thomas River farmers and you might be lucky enough to take some home!
Thanks to Vanilla Payroll who are sponsoring all our data processing we will be able to give full recognition to our category winners.
The special e-mail address for entries is thomasriver-entries@net4u.co.za or faxed to 0866157870 where the entries will be accepted and processed and you will receive an auto reply confirmation. They will also answer queries relating to entries but general enquiries should be sent to me at john@thomasriver.com or 0825754923.
Entry forms will be available at Cycle Torque, Gumbo Cycles, Cycle HQ, East London Cycles & Sportman’s Warehouse in East London. Tony’s Gifts in Queenstown and Action Cycles in Port Elizabeth. All these venues will accept completed entry forms up to Thursday the 3rd. After that it’s get your entry to registration by 8pm on Friday the 4th or ride with a cardboard number.!!!!
New this year is we will have some of the BIZHUB team riding and the race will be filmed and submitted for TV so make yourself famous!!
Race day entries will NOT be timed so make sure you enter in time. Late entry fees will go to the Cathcart Soup Kitchen.
Looking forward to seeing you all on the 5th of November!!.
Regards,
John
